District 80 LGM 1st Quarter Challenge

The new term has already begun. It is now the right time to start sowing the seeds of success. What are your goals for this term? How many projects would you like to complete? And how many people do you like to share the benefits of Toastmaster with?
The theme of our one-year journey together is “Toastmasters: Achieving Greatness Together”
Although “together” comes last in this sentence, togetherness must come first before we can really achieve greatness. Have you read your Manual so we can speak the same language? Can you communicate with your team in a straight forward manner without beating around the bush?
Now comes to “Greatness”. Does your team really understand the meaning of “Greatness”? How large in amount or degree does your team want to achieve? And finally, does your team have a road map to Greatness?
I am sure some of the answers will be found as we travel this road to Greatness together.
The immediate Challenge for Greatness is the Smedley Award for membership growth and LGM 1st Quarter Challenge, starting from 1 August 2010 to 30 September 2010. For the LGM 1st Quarter Challenge, the first club that recruits 20 new members during 1 August – 30 September 2010 will receive a free dinner table (worth S$450) for TI Night Celebrations in Bangkok on 23rd October 2010.
I hope you will enjoy the journey as much as I do.
When a friend of mine asked me recently, “How’s everything?” my answer was, “Life is Great Man, ever since I joined Toastmasters”.
Yours Sincerely,
Dr Veerapan Chanyasak ACB Lieutenant Governor Marketing (2010-11) Toastmasters International District 80 http://www.district80.org

We have just over two weeks to go before the bell rings to close the term 2009-2010. I am delighted to announce that most of you have rallied to the marketing Committee's Call and took up our Challenges. Although we have met our Marking Goals set by TI, we still have time to go that extra bit to put the icing on our cake.
Just look at the 2 Tables below for our Membership Challenge. Congratulations for those who have made it by recruiting 20 or more new members for the 4th. Quarter and yet there are more clubs on the verge of qualifying and I am confident that you can do it in the remaining 18 days to end of term.
Let us welcome the charter of 2 new clubs to our Big District 80 Family.

My heartiest Congratulations to the winners of the LGM's Third Quarter Challenge as shown in the table below. All of you will be awarded by the District Marketing Committee and we will be making arrangements to get the prizes to you shortly.
We know that our clubs in District 80 have the will and enthusiasm to spread the value of Toastmasters because you have experienced it for yourselves and your clubs have shown and proven over and over again what we can do to build the confidence in Public Speaking and Leadership Skills for the ordinary man to lead an extraordinary life. Thank you Club Officers and District Officers who made that little extra effort to recruit new members for our clubs, you have exemplified the role you are in.
